The best ideas don't come from Montpelier. They come from conversations with neighbors, business owners, parents, seniors, and taxpayers throughout our community.
As I've met with residents across Chittenden-23, several priorities have consistently risen to the top. These are the issues I believe deserve thoughtful discussion and practical, common-sense solutions.
Property taxes and the overall cost of living remain the number one concern I hear from residents. Vermont families deserve responsible budgeting, accountable government, and policies that make it easier to live, work, and retire here.
Everyone deserves to feel safe in their home and neighborhood. I support policies that strengthen public safety, support law enforcement, and ensure our communities remain secure places to raise a family.
Our schools should provide every child with an excellent education while respecting taxpayers. I believe we must focus on improving student outcomes, increasing accountability, and making sure education dollars are spent wisely.
Many residents have asked important questions about the proposed correctional facility, including its location, transparency, and the role of local input. Decisions that affect our community should be made openly and with meaningful public participation.
Lake Champlain is one of Vermont's greatest natural treasures. We have a responsibility to preserve its health and beauty for future generations through responsible environmental stewardship and practical solutions.
These are not the only issues that matter. I welcome your thoughts, concerns, and ideas about the challenges facing our district.
